Wait til We're Done...WOW! Welcome to the eNeighborhood! Back in the day (the 1990’s), Wild Wings Way LLC published an all Rock County magazine called, ontheRock.  The goal of the publication was to tell only good news, share the stories of the people and the small businesses of the area and to be the first publication to cover and deliver to all towns in the county.  It was created by a handful of freelance folk, designed and published out of our farm house in Johnstown.  Our company jumped into the wacky world of the web in 2007, expanding the same goals of the magazine, launching the DiscoverontheRock eNeighborhood www.discoverontherock.com, ambitiously setting a goal to bring the communities of the Heart of the Rock River Basin together for the first time.  This continues to be an exciting work in progress.

Even though the newspaper and print industry is rapidly declining under the pressure of the digital age, we’ve always believed that even though technology is cool and fun, people naturally love to touch stuff, have things laying around the house, and collect things.  The problem with print is that it often focuses on bad news and it relies on dollars from advertisers, but rarely tells their stories.

We are honored and thrilled to bring our print theory to Elkhorn & Jefferson in 2011 and already have in Stoughton & Whitewater!  You can read the digital version of our Front Porch/Good News Papers by clicking above at the top on our The Press links. We believe you’ll visit your neighboring towns and shop local businesses, now that you know about the people in each community.  We’re also honored to host on-going columns by local celebrities and who’s who. Our papers are delivered to every front porch of every home in each community and also available year round in the businesses.  We partner with awesome groups to deliver our papers and donate to support their community projects and fund raising;  in Stoughton, theHigh School Key Club and in Whitewater, the FFA. Thanks so very much to everyone who supports The Press.  You so Rock!  We’re anxious to hear from you, our readers.  Please take the time to email or write us your impression of our project, send ideas and suggestions.
Never Miss a Thing! Make sure you click below to follow our Twitter & Facebook postings and subscibe to our eNews Service.  You can opt out at any time.  You will never be able to use the excuse, "I didn't know that!" again. Shop and do business with your local HomeTown Businesses. Come back here often. We strive to overachieve. Enjoy the ride.

What is Wild Wings Way?

WWW/llc is a small corporation owned by Jerry & Linda Schalk, who left the traditional business environment to develop a group of companies designed to embrace the new economics of today. Tapping entrepreneurial skills and experience in positions of sales and marketing for other companies; they built and managed a waterfront restaurant and marina, co-owned a residential and commercial construction company, established a publishing/ad agency and a retail art gallery. Today with their offices at home in the country, Jerry and Linda have created a family of three enterprises offering products and services of value to individuals, families and small businesses embracing media, wellness and viticulture.

About The Press

Wild Wings Productions began as a calligraphy studio in the 1980's named, Paraphernalia.
We grew to a full service ad agency in the 1990's which is still an important part of our business today. Our first publication - ontheRock magazine, was direct mailed to homes throughout Rock County, WI from 1994 thru 1997. We organized as Wild Wings Way LLC in 2007 and added web design services in 2008. The Press Project, was launched in 2010 as five unique full color contemporary magazines, published three times per year, delivered via Every Door Direct Mail to homes and stacked at businesses, within the five South Central Wisconsin communities we are honored to serve.

Our magazines are delivered to the mailboxes of most homes in each community and also available year round in businesses. We utilize USPS Every Door Direct in each community to ensure you receive your copy, three times each year.

Own a Small Business?

Advertising and marketing can be mystical and confusing.  The money you spend often ends up feeling like throwing your hard earned cash in the trash. The problem is you're often restricted to that little box...and who you are, and what your business offers, just doesn't fit in a box.  The Press Front Porch Good News Magazines can be the solution to this problem.  The Press tells stories and our advertising business partners tell us that, often for the first time ever, new customers come in and say, "I read about you in The Press!"  We'd love to share the details!  Call us @ 608.314.4004 or email linda@wildwingsway.com
